Sunrise over McEwen. Although the clouds are breaking off to the east, a mountain snow shower is still depositing light snow over the yard at McEwen, as a pair of freights get ready to head west with their loads. Pulling out first is Eccles Lumber Heisler #3, with a string of flats for a nearby lumbering operation. At the water tower, Sumpter Valley Mikado #19 completes her servicing and will shortly begin the long haul over Dixie Pass to Prairie City.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
