Remarks & Notes |
Just because the Winter Olympics ended a few days ago doesn't mean winter has ended! A westbound Canadian Pacific coal train passes the signals at Livingstone as they enter the Page Sub leaving the Rawlison Sub. A Southern Railway of BC train patiently waits on the Fraser Valley Sub before they can proceed west on the Page Sub, following the CP coal train. The route to Roberts Bank, a large coal and intermodal terminal, requires the 2.1 mile long Rawlison Sub (owned and controlled by Canadian National)the 7.5 mile long Page Sub (owned by Canadian Pacific but controlled by a British Columbia Railway rail traffic controller) and the 23.2 mile long Port Sub (owned and controlled by the British Columbia Railway). Confused yet? The Fraser Valley Sub is SRY's mainline stretching from New Westminster to Chilliwack which has to travel along the Page Sub through Langley. |
