The last rays of sunlight illuminate the sides of three Conrail six-axle units in charge of ALSE (Allentown, PA - Selkirk, NY) as they round the curve on the approach to Ridgefield Park Station. The single track in the foreground belongs to the New York, Susquehanna & Western. At the time, both the NYS&W and Conrail were single tracked here. Today the River Line (now the CSX River Subdivision) has two main tracks through this area. The second unit in the consist is former Penn Central SD40 6256.
