Having just landed at North Carolina's Charlotte/Douglas International Airport, US Airways' specially painted "Piedmont Airlines" Airbus A319 taxis towards the passenger terminal while a Norfolk Southern remote control locomotive set passes underneath the taxiway. The locomotives are working between the storage yard and the ramp tracks at the new Charlotte Intermodal Facility. Photo by Casey Thomason.
