After a fresh snowfall, Union Pacific’s Denver to Salt Lake City manifest freight MNYRO climbs the two-percent grade over the mouth of Coal Creek Canyon just east of Plainview, Colorado, on February 2, 2014. Four GE AC4400CWs on the point of the freight are about to enter Tunnel 1, while below, passing the detector at mile 22.6, are cars in the middle of the train.
