| NS Lackawanna heritage in old DL&W territory. The NS 1074 leads the Ayer, MA to Chicago intermodal and rack train WB on the old D&H as it rolls down the Buffalo Track on its way onto the NS side of town for its run to Buffalo on the NS ex Erie Lackawanna tracks. In the shadow of the landmark old Agway feed mill, it was in this approximate location that the Lackawanna line from Syracuse and Utica crossed over the D&H on its way to BD cabin and a connection with the Lackawanna mainline. The tracks were reconfigured here several times over the years. |
