Remarks & Notes
On a route that represents one of CSX's most critical export coal arteries, crude oil trains originating in North Dakota and terminating in Virginia have increase traffic volume along CSX's ex- C&O mainline in West Virginia since early December. Returning to the Midwest from Virginia, BNSF No. 719 and its colorful consist of mixed power roll westbound through St. Albans passing an out of service C&O mast signal from the E.E. Coal River Siding on a nearby branch line. To see a photo of the signal in the foreground in its prime, click HERE.
