Bird's eye view from Alp Grüm (2091 m a.s.l.) down to the station of Cavaglia (1692 m a.s.l.), where the snow blower composition from Poschiavo is just clearing track 1 from about 1 meter of snow, throwing it in a wide arc over track 2 and 3. The name Cavaglia comes from the italian word for horse (the Poschiavo valley is in the italian speaking part of Switzerland). Before the road and the railway were built over the Bernina pass, here in Cavaglia was a horse changing place of the freight hauler.
