Remarks & Notes
Marley Hill railway shed which is the oldest working shed in the world. It began housing locomotives in 1854. Today it is the base for Tanfield railway and here is an 8 year old shot of the railway's collection. The shed on the right is now completed and there are many locomotives which have been cosmetically restored housed in that shed. Others still slowly rot away due to exposure to the elements. It is estimated that this railway has 62 locomotives in various stages of decay or preservation
