Vermont Rail System's White River Junction to Norwich, Vermont, Polar Express train is seen making its first run on December 15, after more than a foot of fresh snow befell the area overnight. The CLP GP40-2 306 leads the train at the same location as the night photo I previously posted, just 15 hours later.
Although most only provide freight service, regional railroads have passenger operations; not only executive trains but also charity events and excursions.
