| While Class I's have gone to powered switches and heaters to keep snow and ice clear, railroads like Great Lakes Central still use a lot of old-fashioned methods, such as a broom and large up-right switch stands. After clearing the snow, Conductor Justin Ellis lines up the points so that the OSTN can depart Owosso. |
