Remarks & Notes
Not seeing a train since the mid 70's, this bridge is now part of the Willard Munger Trail. This bridge originally carried the Northern Pacific Railway's "Short Line" between Carlton and Duluth and over the St. Louis River. The Steel Through Truss bridge was built in 1906 and is 150 ft long and 88 ft above the water. On this day like many others it makes for a great viewing platform for walkers and bikers to stop and watch the kids cliff dive into the river.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
