Looking like a Zephyr of old dashing through the midwestern countryside, the Illinois Railway Museum’s Chicago, Burlington and Quincy EMD E5 No. 9911-A leads the Nebraska Zephyr trainset during an early and somewhat rare excursion off museum property. The train operated from Burlington (Wisconsin) to Neenah and return on Wisconsin Central. Late in the afternoon of September 30, 1993, the Zephyr cruises into Slinger, Wisconsin, as seen from the Arthur Road overpass north of town.
