Union Pacific’s West Local on the Moffat Tunnel Subdivision is dropping off of Rocky Spur at Rocky, Colorado, on February 19, 2002. Powering the train is a nice set of Rio Grande GP40-2, with No. 3126 leading Nos. 3121 and 3109. The days of unpatched Rio Grande power is winding down this winter day over ten years ago…
