Remarks & Notes

Old meets new as the aging covered hopper, complete with the Wabash flag, sets idle as a Catfish leads 173 past E. Gastonia, 20 west of Charlotte on the former SOU main. The car had a BLT date of '58 or '59 and made a couple of stops here about that time
