A solid set of Burlington Northern power - SD40-2 7144, B30-7A 4054 and SD40-2 7077 - hustles an eastbound Santa Fe intermodal train (Los Angeles to Avard Yard, Tulsa OK) through West Corona, California, on March 20th, 1985. In a little over ten years, on the last day of 1996, the ATSF and BN would merge and seeing BN power in southern California would become - at least for a few years - more commonplace.
