| A BNSF freight with a Red & Silver Warbonnet leads an eastbound manifest train through Lind, WA. BNSF 799 is not looking as pristine as it once was while hustling priority intermodal traffic across the former Santa Fe Transcon but is still holding up much better than some of the Pink Bonnets roaming the system. Lind features the Combine Demolition Derby where local farmers gather together every summer and attempt to be the last man standing, I mean driving their wheat harvester. Evidently local residents get a little bored out on the Eastern Washington plateau and need excitement to pass the time. |
