Remarks & Notes
Three newly refurbished RRL Grindrod Diesel Locomotives, bound for Ncala Mozambique, have just been loaded onto Transnet's Floating Crane "Indlovu Durban". The vessel collecting them for their journey to Mozambique is not equipped with a suitable crane for loading, hence the use of the floating crane. The three locos on board are (from left to right), Ex Kiwi Rail DQ6382 - now RRL 22-02, Ex SAR Class 35 - now RRL 35-07 and Ex Kiwi Rail DQ6347 - now RRL 22-01. RRL Grindrod have completed the refurbishment of the two Kiwi Rail locos pretty quickly, as they only arrived in South Africa mid July 2013.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
