Remarks & Notes
Beginning in 1889 and finally completed in 1890, the Pueblo Union Depot was constructed in the Richardsonian Romanesque style and built to accommodate the five railroads that served Pueblo at that time. The Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, the Colorado & Southern Railway, the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific, the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe and finally the Missouri Pacific all called this exquisite station home as their famous passenger trains carried people from Pueblo to any location on their lines. After being played on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, the Depot today is used to host weddings, parties, Oktoberfest and the yearly B-Street Bash. It’s also home to Diana the Huntress as well as the Pueblo Railway Museum which houses vintage equipment nearby.
