Visiting the Glenbrook Vintage Railway for a Steam Festival from the Museum of Transport and Technology, Y542 with a mixed train makes a run-by for photographers near Victoria Avenue. The tank engine was built in 1923 by Hunslet.
Railway Enthusiasts Society has operated rail excursions around NZ since 1958, some steam hauled using rolling stock from Glenbrook Vintage Railway which it established in 1970's near Auckland. See www.railfan.org.nz
