| This southbound left Anchorage about 4:30 PM and an empty coal train was on duty at Seward at 3:15 PM so I had hopes that they might meet somewhere in en-route however that was not to be as this Whittier bound train was able to get on to the Whittier Branch at Portage,as the coal train was approaching Portage from the south. While they didn't meet, the coal train did give me something to follow back to Anchorage. This shot was taken a Beluga, one of the few locations to catch a southbound in the afternoon. |
