Remarks & Notes

One of two surviving DE2 locomotives awaits restoration to running order at the Reefsteamers depot in Germiston. These classic cab units entered service with Rhodesia Railways in the 1950s and soldiered on until retirement from the National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) in the mid 1990s.
