Southern Pacific GP40-2 No. 7132, one of the first units to wear the new 'speed lettering' livery, was recruited to lead Amtrak's California Zephyr from Salt Lake City to Denver on June 8, 1991. The 7132 was rebuilt by Morrison Knudsen in Boise from B&O GP40 #3709, released late in April of 1991.
