Tokyo station from 1914 and Marunouchi business district. The Tokyo Station complex was undergoing extensive development, which include major improvements to the Marunouchi (west) and Yaesu (east) sides of the station in the past years, which was completed in October 2012. The historic 99-year-old Marunouchi side of the station was restored to pre-war condition. Tokyo station is the busiest station in Japan in terms of number of trains per day (over 3,000) and is the starting point and terminus for most of Japan's Shinkansen high-speed rail lines.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
