| I have liked this location since the first time I opened the book "Denver and Rio Grande Western; Super Power Railroad of the Rockies" by Robert A LaMassena. On page 56 there is split page photo of an L-107 under full load with two Mallets shoving hard on the rear of a westbound manifest. Today the highway has been moved and I am standing near where Richard Kindig stood in the 1940's. To me this is Mountain Railroading! |
