East and westbound Rio Grande trains meet at the U.S. Highway 6 overpass at Gilluly on Sept. 25, 1977. The eastbound has two GP40-2 helpers coupled behind the caboose for the shove to Soldier Summit. The westbound has an open autorack loaded with 1978 Buick Estate and Pontiac Grand Safari station wagons, a Great Northern covered hopper, and trailer flats with Southern Railway and Boston & Maine piggybacks.
