Remarks & Notes

A new lease of life for this vintage (1965/66) diesel locomotive, originally designed & built by General Electric as model GE U20C. Ex SAR (South African Railway) / Transnet Freight Rail Class 33 Diesel now in the livery of cdn - Corredor de Desenvolvimento do Norte and renumbered as No. 112. Corredor de Desenvolvimento do Norte operates out of the Port of Ncala - Mozambique's most northern port. It is believed that 7 of these old locomotives are heading for Mozambique - 112 / 111 & 107 are already in Durban (Maydon Wharf) awaiting the arrival of a ship to take them on to Mozambique.
