Remarks & Notes
Three N&W road-slug sets pound the double-diamond at JK as they bring up the rear of another Belews Creek coal train. Today the connection track in the foreground, the N&W signals, the main track the train is running on, and the high-hooded GP40s are all gone. Before the days of quiet modern power, there was nothing like the sound of a double-south in the hills of South Roanoke.
