| Nine years ago today (May 10, 2004) CN purchased Great Lakes Transportation (DM&IR/B&LE). How I remember the Missabe from my younger years is reflected in this image of two high hood SDs going all out to lift empties up the 2.2% grade of Proctor Hill. CN still lifts ore cars up this hill but it obviously isn't quite the same. |
