Remarks & Notes

On a beautiful autumn afternoon, four class 10E1 3kV DC Co-Co locomotives, led by 10-135 in Spoornet orange livery, climb the long grade out of the valley west of Ermelo, with a 100 wagon train of coal empties returning to one of the mines around Witbank. The town of Ermelo is visible on the horizon, just ahead of the lead locomotive.
