Remarks & Notes

One of the few (maybe the only) times a former LS&I Alco RSD-15 “Alligator” led a Fox River Valley train. The freight is approaching Butler Yard on the C&NW and is about to pass under Lovers Lane Road overpass on a cold February 24, 1990. Trailing former Santa Fe/LS&I/GB&W Alco No. 2406 are two former BN SD24s, Nos. 2401 and 2402.
