I like this image because it looks to me to be a believable recreation of the past. The mulltiple tracks, industry, car spotted on the siding, crossing, perhaps even the rather mundane composition lend it a sense of authenticity.....as if I wandered down to trackside back in the 50's. But actually it is 10:36 a.m. May 11, 2008. And perhaps the engine is a bit too shiny for the real thing. A Pete Lerro photo special. Nice to hear that the 261 will be back in service soon.
