An empty Kansas City Southern grain train crosses the Colorado River at Wharton, Texas, on the afternoon of March 13, 2013. Powering the train are four locomotives, led by EMD SD70ACe No. 4119. This is KCS’s Rosenberg Subdivision, rebuilt from a portion of the former Southern Pacific “Macaroni Line.”
