Amtrak operated a 16-car passenger train for members of AAPRCO (American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners) from Denver to Billings, Montana, for their annual convention in the summer of 1999. Here a family waves to the special as it rolls up Mason Street and crosses Olive Street at mile 73.97 on the BNSF’s Front Range Subdivision at Fort Collins, Colorado.
