Remarks & Notes

Frog Pond is almost, but not completely frozen over. A small creek coming down the mountainside has left an opening in the ice, providing a nice spot to see through the clear (but very cold) water. Low clouds linger in the distant mountains as a westbound BNSF grain train rolls past the pond just west of Trout Creek, Montana, on Montana Rail Link's 4th Subdivision. A BNSF SD70ACe and a former Burlington Northern SD70MAC lead the way.
