Remarks & Notes

After encountering a rock slide two weeks earlier and derailing over a 100 ft. embankment, CSXT SD70MAC No. 4542 rests on a spur track in the former B&O yard of Clarksburg. Severely damaged, the fate for this SD70MAC is undetermined. No fatalities were reported in the derailment, though the cleanup process was extensive. For a photo of the derailment scene, click HERE.
