Remarks & Notes

A freight of fifteen cars is being helped across Lobato Trestle toward the summit of Cumbres Pass by No.491, a K-37 2-8-2. This locomotive was built by Baldwin in 1902 as a standard gauge Class C-41 2-8-0 and rebuilt as a narrow gauge engine in Burnham Shops in 1928.
