Running out of the storm Amtrak No. 3, the Southwest Chief, is about to curve through the mile 706.2 semaphores near Robinson, New Mexico, on May 20, 1999. Apparently some power issues further east on the trip has required the assistance of Burlington Northern EMD SD60M No. 9276 to pilot the train west.
Photos by some of the best railroad still photographers in North America. These photographers must have a significant impact on the art form and have been shooting (or shot in the past) for at least 10 years.
