Arriving at these wonderful 'S' curves well in advance of the due time, the weather was refusing to behave! True to recent form, I was greeted with dreary grey skies with any break in the cloud cover elusively distant. Usually a cause for discontent, the train was fortuitously 20 minutes late allowing the sun break through for one brief but vital moment. This is why the Yorkshire Dales captivate all who visit. Amazingly, there were only three or four other photographers in the area and none where I was. Selfish I know, but bliss nonetheless!
