Remarks & Notes
BNSF 9615 and a couple other EMD motors lead a long BNSF oil train down the UP Sacramento Subdivision at Thorton, California. This train originated in Eland, North Dakota and is hauling crude oil to the Kern Oil Refinery near Bakersfield, California. This train has come a long ways and is now looking at a strait shot down the valley to reach its destination. BNSF Greinsteins are an extremely rare sight in Northern California as well are crude oil trains. Overall, this was a great morning trackside!
