Remarks & Notes
One of NJ Transit's four ex-Amtrak P40DCs leads Raritan Valley Line train 5423 under the arched road bridge leading into Newark's Weequahic Park. The recently renamed CP NEWARK (formerly CP NK, site of Lehigh Valley's NK Tower) can been seen in the distance just before the I-78 overpass. The renaming is part of Conrail's recent plan to eliminate any remaining "legacy" two-letter designations from control points and DCS block stations on their lines. This was supposedly done to eliminate confusion.
