Draper City, the Utah Transit Authority, and the Promontory Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society have teamed up to acquire a former PFE 40 ft. refrigerator car and paint it to memorialize the 'Utah Poultry Producers Cooperative Association' of North American Car Corporation's North American Despatch fleet of leased refrigerator cars. The car was trucked nearly 300 miles from Kanab, Utah to Draper, and was restored and painted at Rocky Mountain Railcar Repair in Tooele. The NADX 6199, located along Pioneer Road, will be protected by a canopy and will include a mock water tower adjacent to UTA's new Draper Towne Center TRAX light rail station, slated to open in August 2013.
