| An eastbound drag out of Colton Yard meets a 'canned' westbound at Hiland(summit) in a crisp morning in December. The only time I've been able to record a meet here of two separate SP freights with the snow capped mountains in the background. Around this time the old SP was struggling and it often showed. They were the true underdogs of Cajon right up to the UP buyout and I'll definitely miss those growling, smoking, oily weathered battle wagons of the high desert. |
