Remarks & Notes

Riders onboard Amtrak's California Zephyr train #6 were treated to a record early snowstorm on Sept. 28, 1986. Rio Grande business cars 'Kansas' and 'Utah' bring up the tail end of the train with riders on the observation platform offering the photographer a friendly wave as the train climbs east toward Soldier Summit.
