| La Crosse in the summer usually has high humidity and the days often start out fairly foggy or just with a milky sky. This early morning shot of 6618, 8099, 8015 and 6446 leading 56 cars of train 182 around the old passenger main in the haze is about what was normal for that era. Trains that didn't have any work at North La Crosse used this bypass with its tight curves often during the late 70's-early 80's. BN changed some of the track layout through the yard in the 80's and this track with its sharp curves ceased to be used. |
