| WC handled quite a few CP detours over the years through Upper Michigan but CN ones were much more uncommon and could have been counted on the fingers of one hand. This west coast-Montreal train was rerouted off the Northern Ontario main due to a derailment and made the trip from Winnipeg to Duluth onto the WC then east at Ladysmith through Rhinelander to Gladstone and on to Sault Ste. Marie then to Sudbury on CP and finally onto home rails once again. CN SD40 rebuild 6001 leads 5074 east at Garnet. |
