Reflecting golden rays of sun Five Rio Grande Tunnel Motors traveled light engines to Wash, Utah, on the afternoon of April 3, 2000, to round up some empty coal hoppers stored there. After gathering up the hoppers, making an air test and waiting for the passage of a westbound BNSF manifest, the train is ready to return to Helper. It’s getting late as the locomotives reflect the golden rays of a setting sun at Wellington.
