| Union Pacific's 'City of Heber' passenger train? Not hardly. On July 18, 1989, a group chartered a dinner train on the Heber Creeper from Heber City to Vivian Park and return. UP NW2 #1011 pulls the short train up a 2.5% grade at Rio Vista approaching Deer Creek Dam. The first car is a former rotary snow plow that now houses a power generator while the second is a former Union Pacific dining car. This view at milepost 11.7 is now blocked by the new U.S. Highway 189 overpass. |
