Owing to a few days of considerable snowfall on the Vermont Rail System the services of Vermont Railway VTR Flanger X-24 were put to use on New Year's Eve. The train cleared several feet of snow through the Green Mountains and is seen here at the end of the run, where the snow was the lightest, at Riverside Yard in Rockingham, VT, with LLPX GP38-2 2334 doing the powering honors. The conductor, complete with handy snow pic/broom over his shoulder, converses with the engineer about a move they'll make to run around the flanger.
