| Just fifty years ago Gresley class A4 Pacific No 60026 Miles Beevor heads north past Potters Bar with a lunch time Kings Cross (London) to Newcastle express. This was at the start of what was to be the worst winter the UK had in the past fifty years. Snow and freezing temperatures lasted from just after Boxing Day until around the 5th of March 1963. |
